Introduction to 3D Art (2014):
In 2014, I began exploring 3D artistry with 3ds Max. Although I initially found it challenging, my interest in 3D modeling and visual effects (VFX) kept me motivated. Soon after, I discovered Blender, a powerful and versatile tool that aligned perfectly with my creative aspirations.
Mastering Blender:
I quickly fell in love with Blender and dedicated myself to learning its features. Within a week of self-learning, I started creating 3D models and scenes. Blender's built-in VFX capabilities allowed me to experiment with adding 3D objects to videos and working on visual effects. My exploration included hard surface and organic modeling, texturing, UV mapping, shading, animation, and character art.
Expanding Skills and Techniques:
During this period, I tried my hand at every aspect of Blender. I created detailed 3D models, designed intricate scenes, and worked on various animation projects. Blender's comprehensive toolset enabled me to develop a deep understanding of the 3D art pipeline, from modeling and texturing to shading and rendering.
VFX and Game Engine Exploration:
Blender's versatility extended to VFX, where I added 3D objects to real-world footage and experimented with visual effects. I also explored Blender's internal game engine, further broadening my skills and understanding of 3D environments and interactions.
Achievements:
- Mastered Blender, creating complex 3D models and scenes.
- Explored and implemented various VFX techniques.
- Gained expertise in hard surface and organic modeling, texturing, UV mapping, shading, animation, and character art.
- Experimented with Blender's game engine, enhancing my knowledge of 3D interactions.
This period was pivotal in shaping my skills as a 3D artist, providing a solid foundation for future endeavors in the world of 3D modeling and animation.
